Job Description

Reports to Machine Shop Superintendent, being responsible for completion of maintenance work orders issued from Unipoint.

Mechanical repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul, and maintain mobile heavy-duty and manufacturing equipment to ensure production efficiency is maintained daily.

Responsibilities

  • General maintenance of shop equipment
  • Electrical diagnosis and repair as needed
  • Build and assemble machines and/or mechanical components according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Perform maintenance on machinery, equipment and trucks and power systems
  • Undertake other duties as assigned or needed
  • Must be able to work in all environments both indoors and outdoors
  • Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Be able to work independently

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Red Seal or Journeyman Heavy Duty or Millwright equivalent in Experience
  • Valid driver’s class 5 driver’s license minimum (air brakes, class 3 or 1 is a definite plus.)
  • Mobile equipment experience preferred
