About the Roll

Goodman Steel Ltd. is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mobile heavy-duty and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency. You will troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul, and perform general maintenance tasks in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on fabrication shop equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues as needed.
• Build and assemble machines and mechanical components according to specifications.
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them promptly.
• Maintain machinery, equipment, trucks, and power systems.
• Work in all environments, both indoors and outdoors.
• Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Competencies

• Strong diagnostic skills and problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of OH&S and safe work practices.
• Adaptability and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Red Seal or Journeyman Heavy Duty or Millwright equivalent experience.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license (air brakes, Class 3 or 1 is a plus).
• Mobile equipment experience preferred.
